Director, Clinical Development

VGX Pharmaceuticals announced the appointment of Jessica
C. Lee as Director, Clinical Development.
Ms. Lee joins the Company as Director, Clinical Development. She will
lead the development and implementation of all clinical studies the Company
is pursuing. Ms. Lee will report to Jo White, M.D., Chief Medical Officer.
“Jessica has extensive experience in drug and vaccine developments
at major pharmaceutical companies which will help us continue to conduct
on-going clinical trials at various locations. Her excellent leadership
skills and result-oriented approach will contribute to the success of
our clinical division,” said Dr. Joseph Kim, a CEO and President.
Ms. Lee has over 11 years of experience in drug and vaccine developments
at several major pharmaceutical companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb,
Merck, and GlaxoSmithKline. She has extensive experience in Phase I through
NDA and has managed multi-center/multi-national clinical trials. She played
key roles in the development of drugs and vaccines for HIV-1, HPV, and
Hepatitis B and C. Ms. Lee began her professional career as a scientist
in various academic laboratories including the Wistar Institute at the
University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University.
Ms. Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Drexel
University and her Master of Science degree from Temple University School
of Pharmacy.
