October 15, 2003 - J. Joseph Kim, Ph.D., Co-founder, President & CEO of VGX Pharmaceuticals, has placed number 38 on a list of the "50 Most Influential Men Under 38" in the October "Power Issue" of Details, a trendy, upscale magazine catering to the contemporary male.

 

In the ranking led by Ben Affleck, Kim, 33, places thirty-eighth, among the Medicine Men, between University of Chicago Economic Professor Levitt and Linux Founder Torvalds.  Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, both 30, maintain their last year post as in second.

Other influencers include No. 33, Anthony Zuiker, 35, executive producer and creator, C.S.I franchise; No. 20, Tiger Woods; No. 25, Jonathan Ive, 36, design director for Apple Computer and father of the iMac and iPod.

Entertainers Justin Timberlake, 22; Leonardo DiCaprio, 28; Ashton Kutcher, 25; and Will Smith, 35, all made the list.

Lachlan Murdoch, 32 deputy chief operating officer of News Corp. is joined by Peter Rice, 37, Fox Searchlight president; Scott Stuber, 34, Co-president of Production, Universal Pictures; and Jordan Levin, 35, president of WB Entertainment.
